Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide large closing torque at a secondary side throttle valve in a twin carburetor having primary and secondary throttle valves at its idling operating time without losing the safety design of springs and smoothness at accelerating time.
CONSTITUTION: In a twin carburetor having primary and secondary throttle valves 4 and 3, there is provided an adjusting lever 15 movably connected to a valve shaft 14 of the primary throttle valve secured with a lever 5 to integrally operate the valve 4 with a throttle lever 5. The lever 15 is so rotated clockwise as to be provided by a spring 16 of primary side secured at one end to the lever 15 and at the other to the carburetor body 1. The lever 15 makes at one end contact with the throttle lever 7 of secondary side until the opening of the valve 4 becomes larger than the opening of the valve at its idling operating time but does not make contact with the lever 5.
