Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cellulose ester film with sufficient writability with all the writing utensils and to prevent it from causing blocking phenomena in piled-up storage, by forming a specified writability-providing layer on the surface of the film. CONSTITUTION:A cellulose ether resin (preferably, a methyl cellulose resin having 18 to 32% of methoxy groups per one glycol residue), a cellulose ester resin (preferably, diacetyl cellulose of triacetyl cellulose), and inorganic finely divided particles of 0.1 to 10mu means particle diameter are dissolved and dispersed in a proper solvent, and coated on the nonimage area of a photographic film unit having a cellulose ester surface. The preferable contents in 100 g of the coating solution are as follows: celloulose ether resin 2 to 10 g; cellulose ester resin 0.1 to 4 g; and inorganic particles 0.1 to 4 g.
