Abstract

PURPOSE:To insert a tube flux consisting of metal fine tubes each of which has a specific inner diameter in the outer tube, thereafter to subject said metal flux to cold (hot) swaging to elongate the same, and then to heatfuse fine tubes to the outer tube, thereby to obtain a porous body which is easy to fabricate and uniform in permeability in the facial direction. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of metal fine tubes 9in a bundle each having an inner diameter of 0.1 to 2 mm phi into an outer tube 2. Then, after subjecting the flux to cold (hot) swaging and elongation, a metal 3 of a melting point lower than that of metal fine tubes are infiltrated and filled in gaps of fine tubes 1 from one end of the thus obtained elongated body, and the fine tubes 1 and outer tube 2 are heat fused. Then, the pipe flux is subjected to cutting in a required length thereby obtain a porous body having rectilinear vent holes.
