Abstract

PURPOSE:A peel-off type pack composition having a short drying time and good feeling in use, obtained by adding a crosslinkable water-soluble metal compound to an aqueous or water-alcohol solution of polyvinyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION:Polyvinyl alcohol (preferably one modified by an alkoxy-containing silicone compound) is dissolved in water or a mixed solvent of water and alcohol to give a solution, to which a crosslinkable water-soluble metal compound is added to prepare a pack composition. A compound of Ti, Zr, or Al is preferably used as the metal compound and 0.01-10pts.wt. of the metal compound is blended with 1 pt.wt. of polyvinyl alcohol. The prepared pack composition has improved drying characteristics and can be peeled off for only about 8-17min.
