Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the common use of a press mold and raise operability thereof by providing a pressing portion for fitting a lead plate over all-over width at a right angle to the winding direction of an electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:On the sintered porous base plate 1, the pressing portion 2 for spot welding for a lead plate is formed by a press mold, and the lead plate 3 is welded to the pressing portion 2. For example, the long scale hoop-like base plate 1 is provided with the pressing portion 2 by a common press and then cut off along the lines 4 and 5 to obtain an electrode of a wide width and an electrode of a narrow width. The pressing portion 2 is provided over all-over width of the electrode plate at a right to the winding direction of the electrode plate in such a way as to have a width more than the width of the lead plate 3.
