Abstract

PURPOSE:To hole a stop position of a motor securely without useless consumption of power by controlling a motor impressed power with an output signal from a position detector which is to detect a stop position of the pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:When transistors 4, 5 are on with a positive input to a terminal IN to make a driving transistor of each phase of a pulse motor PM on, windings of those phases are excited in order and the motor PM rotates. In a stop, the trasistor 4 is made off, if the terminal IN is in an earth potential, to supply to the base of the transistor 5 a collector current of a phototransistor 2 which is a light receiver element of a rotor position detector. The rotor position detector is adjusted so that the collector current of the phototransistor 2 become minimum at a motor stop position, and, if moved from the stop position, the collector current of the phototransistor 2 increases to work a return force to the stop position.
