Abstract

PURPOSE: To meke the recovery of effective ingredients easy in melting and removal of deposit on the fluidized medium, by addition of water in an amount necessary and sufficient for melting the deposit.
CONSTITUTION: Collected smuts contg. chloride produced by burning black liquor etc. discharged from paper making process is heated and demineralized in a fluidized bed furnace, whereby deposit containing Na2SO4 adhered to the fluidized medium is released and removed by addition of water. The water is added in a sufficient amount about 0.88W1.26 times by weight the amount of Na2SO4. Hereby the concn. of the soln. made by dissolving molten deposit is increased, hence the effective ingredients are easily recovered, and the breakage or defects of the fluidized medium are decreased.
