Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an easy production of a strong and flexible tube, by a method wherein an elemental tube material, in which a thermoplastic resin layer convers over an elastic wire, is wound in a coil at adherence intervals and resultant work is heated for welding together the resin layers.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic wire, for example, an elastic metal wire 10 is covered with a thermoplastic resin layer 11 to obtain a linear elemental tube material 12. So obtained elemental tube material 12 is coiled at adherence intervals and is then heated. The heating means is constituted such that, for example, die 13 are heated by means of a heating device, and the elemental tube material 12 is drawn out. The heated elemental tube material 12 is formed into a tube 6 such that adjoining resin layers 11 are welded together by heat to be united monolithically, and simultaneously, an outer surface of the resin layer 11 is formed in a smooth and neat state when it is drawn through the die 13.
