Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce iron oxides within a molten slag by a method wherein, after blow refining by an oxygen top blown method is stopped, gas blowing under a bath level is carried out in a specified condition to reinforce a stirring force of a steel bath to promote dephosphorization. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of oxygen is blown into an oxygen top blown rotary converter 1 from an oxygen lance 3 and, at the same time when oxygen is blown or after said oxygen blowing is completed, a gas such as carbon dioxide or the like is blown under a bath level within 5min or less in a flow amount 0.3Nm<3>/min or less per t of molten steel from a gas blow-in nozzle 2 provided to a furnace bottom. By this steel refining method, the equilibrium promotion between molten steel-molten slag and the cooling regulation during stopping high temp. blow refining can be controlled highly precisely and, moreover, the reducing effect of T, Fe is expected.
