Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent color unbalance of a color solid-state pickup unit using a solid-state pickup plate, by exercising gain control over three primary color signals by one amplifying circuit. CONSTITUTION:Color solid-state pickup plate 7, obtained by combining stripe color filters, for example, is driven by a clock pulse from clock pulse generating circuit 23. Its output is sampled by sample holding circuit 24, whose output is supplied to amplifying circuit 26. This amplifying circuit 26 is brought under the control of the signal of gain control signal generating circuit 27 to increase in amplification degree for a color signal low in level and to decrease in amplification degree for that low in level. Therefore, R signal, G signal and B signal from circuit 26 become video signals equal in level and three primary color signal levels from separating circuit 28 agree with one another without fail. Thus, color unbalance can be prevented.
