Abstract
PURPOSE:To constantly hold the position of a heater coil and a bimetal and stabilize the characteristics by collectively mounting the bimetal in which the starting heat following mechanism is formed on the insulating substrate and the contact piece which is separated from it facing them each other. CONSTITUTION:One end of the opposed bimetal 25 and contact piece 26 are fixed to the dinsulating substrate 27 retained on the support frame 8a which supports the glow tube 1 so as to insert the insulating substrate 27 from both surfaces and the contacts 31 and 32 which are separated each other are mounted to their free ends. This forms the starting heat following mechanism 24 which can be divided in units. When the bimetal 25 is heated by the heater coil 13, the contacts 31 and 32 are separated. Accordingly, the distance between the bimetal 25 and the heater coil 13 can always be kept constant and the contact pressure be constantly kept at the preset value. The operation time can be made sure and characteristics be stabilized.
