CONSTITUTION:As for a luminous tube body 1 such as a high pressure sodium discharge lamp, etc., its electrical conductors 3 and 3' are fixed with frame wires 7 and 8 as input terminals through conductors 13 and 14 and a starting auxiliary body 12 made of heat-resisting metallic conductors is coiled round the outercircumference of the luminous body 1. To improve the operation of color by rising temperature of the coldest part of the ends of the liminous tube body 1, a heat-resisting metal belt 18 made of columbium is provided at both ends. Consequently, as the luminous tube body 1 and the belt 18 have same coefficient of thermal expansion, slipping due to heat cycle can be prevented and diminishing the rise of lamp voltage can be easily carried out due to the disuse of holding wires.
