Abstract

PURPOSE: To compensate for the measuring errors accompanied by the heat expansion of the pressure conveying sealing liquid by means of a temperature compensating diaphragm smaller in the elastic coefficient than the measuring diaphragm provided on the vortex generating rod.
CONSTITUTION: The body 10 of the flow meter is composed of the vortex generating bar 13 having the measuring diaphragms 15 and 16 on the side at the downstream triangular in the section and the flange 14 having the temperature compensating diaphragm smaller in the elastic coefficient than the measuring diaphragm. The pressure guiding holes 17 and 18 are provided inside the rod 13 axially from the diaphragms 15 and 16 in such a manner as to face each other through the pressure detecting element 19. The sealing liquids 20 and 21 are sealed into the pressure guiding holes 17 and 18 and leads to the annulus groove through the communicating holes 24 and 25 and the fluid resistances 26 and 27. Even if the sealing liquids 20 and 21 flow into the annulus groove 23 due to heat expansion, the bulging of the temperature compensating diaphragm 28 provides proper compensation thereby lessening the measuring errors.
