Abstract
PURPOSE:To restrain the relative deflection of a crankshaft to a main drive shaft by supporting the axis of a pivotable transfer plate with the front end of the main drive shaft in a power transmission attached to a floating system engine. CONSTITUTION:A power transmission 1 provided on a floating system engine is constituted from a fly wheel 11, transfer plate 12 and cushion wheel 13 having a plurality of rubber posts 20, 21 for connecting the fly wheel to the transfer plate. A supporting ring 16 is fastened to the fly wheel 11 by bolts 17 to limit the backward movement of said plate 12. The transfer plate 12 is pivotably mounted integral with the inner rim 18 of the cushion wheel 13 under the condition that the transfer plate 12 is supported by the front end of the main drive shaft 26 through a disk 32. Thus, the relative deflection of the axes of both shafts 8, 26, caused by the characteristics of the floating system engine can be absorbed by the rubber posts 20, 21.
