Next, when cover 12 of case 7 is pulled out together with the front door until cover 12 is exposed completely from the rack main body, roller 17 is brought into contact with the lower edge of movable part 18a of rail 18. The rotation of crank 15 dependent upon this contact is transferred to mechanism 4 through rod 16, and the stop of the cover dependent upon mechanism 4 is released to make it possible to open cover 12 of case 7 storing the magnetic disc device. Similarly, case 7 cannot be stored in the rack main body until cover 12 is closed, so that damage, etc., of the disc device can be prevented by the cover which is opened and closed surely in a simple constitution.
