Abstract

1361880 Shutter-diaphragms PRONTORWERK ALFRED GAUTHIER GmbH 30 Nov 1971 [23 Jan 1971] 55467/71 Heading G2A In a shutter-diaphragm device wherein the shutter blades 41, 42, Figs. 1 and 2 are opened by a weak driving force and closed by a strong driving force, depression of a lever 2 moves an armature 19 into contact with a magnet 18, energizes the magnet, and then releases a strong spring 8 which causes a lever 9 to move so as to turn an arm 12 first counter-clockwise to allow the blades to open under the force of a weak spring 40, Fig. 2, or two springs 50, 51, Fig. 7, acting in succession, and then, when the armature is released by an electronic timing device so as to release a lever 15 from a pawl 30, to turn clockwise so that a pin 17 positively closes the blades by the force of the spring 8. These may be separate blades for opening and closing the aperture. Cover blades which completely close the aperture when in closed position may also be actuated by a mechanism 12, 15, 30, 19, 18. A selector may also be provided to set the device for automatic operation controlled by the timer or to manual operation to provide a fixed exposure time.
