Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically stack boxes and unload the stacked boxes by sequentially unloading stacked vacant boxes from the lowermost one, filling article in the box, and then stacking the box in the lead at the uppermost layer.

CONSTITUTION: When containment boxes 1aW1c on a conveyor 2 are sensed, a pawl 15 horizontally energized via a vertical shaft 11, a lateral shaft 14 and a spring 18 is lowered. When the spring 18 thus makes contact at the lower end with a stopper 16, the pawl 15 makes contact at the roller 20 with a cam plate 21. Then, the pawl 15 is raised along the stepwise slide surface of the cam plate 21. The pawl 15 is horizontally energized, and engaged at the end 15d with the hole 23b of the box 1b to be raised. Then, the first box 1a is conveyed to next step. When superimposing the boxes, the cam plate 21 is unnecessary. When the pawl 15 is lowered, it is engaged with the hole of the box on the conveyor 2 to raise the box together with the box raised upwardly so as to thus superimpose the boxes sequentially.
