Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce bronze compound sintered bearing material which excells in strength, by keeping the temperature of dewaxing process at high temperature, and applying oxidation reaction process between the dewaxing process undergoing in reducing atmosphere and the sintering process, when pressurizing and sintering, by mixing powder of Cu and Sn in the bronze composing range, and further adding and mixing lubricant.
CONSTITUTION: Powder of Cu and powder of Sn are mixed in bronze composing range, and powder of zinc stearate is further added by 0.3W2% as lubricant, and the mixture is put in a metal mold, and pressurized and formed. In reducing atmosphere, the temperature is raised up to 700°C at temperature rise speed of 10W30°C/ min, and this temperature is held for several minutes to evaporate and remove to lubricant so as to dewax the material. The dewaxed material is let stand in the air to oxidize the surface, and is then heated again to 780°C for about 15min in reducing atmosphere to sinter it. After cooling, the material is treated with oil, and a brass compound sintered oil-filled bearing material excelling in strength is produced.
