The light signal picked up at the circuit 11 is input to a photodetector 12, and the light signal of call start from the subscriber 1 is converted into an electric signal, and connected to the switch 9 to control a connection control circuit 10. Further, when the subscriber is finished for call and hooks down the handset, the light signal is stopped. Thus, effective control is enabled with a simple construction.
