Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform effective control with a simple constitution, by picking up a part of light signal with a light branch circuit and a photodetector to convert the signal into an electric signal and to control the connected control circuits, in optical exchanger used for optical communication. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber 1 hooks up a handset, an light signal is transmitted, and this signal is input to an optical fiber cable 3 and transmitted and fed to a optical exchanger 2. Further, a part of light signal is picked up at a light branch circuit 11 in the exchanger 2, and the rest is input to a communication line connecting optical switch 9. The light signal picked up at the circuit 11 is input to a photodetector 12, and the light signal of call start from the subscriber 1 is converted into an electric signal, and connected to the switch 9 to control a connection control circuit 10. Further, when the subscriber is finished for call and hooks down the handset, the light signal is stopped. Thus, effective control is enabled with a simple construction.
