Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply cover a pipe without the need for a large-scale installation, by a method wherein a pipe is covered with a primary covering material, being a main stuff, and the resultant work is covered with a secondary cylindrical covering material for heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 to be covered, made of iron, copper, plastic, etc., is covered with a primary covering material 2 which is a main covering stuff. Where a thermal material is used as said material, for example, a high-foaming polyethylene and the like can be used. The covering material 2 is then covered with a secondary covering material 3 comprising a thermal contractive material. The covering material 3 is preferably cylindrical, and examples of said covering material 3 may be vinyl chloride, polyethylene. After the pipe is covered with the primary and secondary covering materials, the secondary material is contracted by heating to secure firmly to the pipe. This method enables only the pipe to slide along the primary material for drawing out, and in this way, the pipes can be connected together easily.
