Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the conditions of the blast furnace by providing the plural continuous closed tuyere groups by way of three or more open tuyeres inbetween in the case of decreasing blast and subsequently opening the closed tuyere groups from the end or both ends in the case of increasing blast. CONSTITUTION:In the case of reducing the blast by closing part of tuyeres owing to the occurrence of blow-through and a large amount of deposits in the blast furnace during the blast furnace operation, plural continuous tuyere groups are closed such as tuyeres No.1-No.4 and tuyeres No.11-No.14, and at least three or more open tuyeres are provided between these, whereby the blast reduction is done. In the case of restoring the air flow to the original and increasing the blast upon stabilization of the furnace conditions, the closed tuyere groups No.1-NO.4 and No.11-No.14 are subsequently opened from the tuyere at one end or those at both ends to open all the closed tuyeres, whereby the original operating condition is restored.
