PURPOSE:To know on the ground the accurate position for the underground object by inserting and displaying the distance mark to the display unit of the echo sent from the underground object to be detected. CONSTITUTION:Display unit 7 displays the propagation velocity of the arriving wave of the echo sent from underground object 1 via antenna 4 and transmission/ reception part 8 of the radar and through shifting of antenna truck 2. Pulse generator 5 produces the pulse every fixed distance, and this pulse is applied to unit 7 via waveform shaping circuit 6. As a result, the distance mark corresponding to the shift distance of truck 2 is inserted for display to the echo video display velocity axis of unit 7.
