Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the automatic target catching accuracy of an apparatus for catching a moving target by employing a gate generator circuit for generating a gate varying in response to the speed of a self-vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A digitizer 2 is connected through a gate check circuit 3 and a gate generator circuit 4 to a speed sensor 5 and a target detection indicator 6, respectively. Thus, the coordinates of the target position obtained through the digitizer 2 for suppressing noise such as sea return wave or the like of various received signals obtained between transmission pulses transmitted from a radar 1 is applied to the gate check circuit 3. The gate generator circuit 4 receives the speed input of a self-vessel through a speed sensor 5 in synchronization with the transmission pulse and generates a catching area having constant area in the directions R, Az in response to the speed of the self-vessel to the gate check circuit 3.
