Abstract
PURPOSE: To dehydrate a large quantity of sludge by one batch and at a low power cost, by pressurizing plural squeeze chambers simultaneously with one pressurizing device, and squeezing into compressive cake of high moisture content.
CONSTITUTION: An opposing spacing of pistons P in each cylinder C is defined by a male screw tube 12 of a spacer, and the volume of dehydrating chambers 4 in each squeeze unit is made equal. When a slurry is pressed into dehydrating chamber 4 from a lead-in port 5 through a valve 6, the cake dehvdrated primarily into a cavity 7 through a filter cloth 9 and porous wall 8 of piston by the liquid pressure is charged into the dehydrating chamber 4. Turning a rotary operation shaft 13, after drawing the male screw tube 12 back into the female screw tube 11, oil pressure is applied to the piston P through squeeze operation member B.
