Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the evening and free controlling of the pickup of antirust lubricating oil on wire surface by dipping the wire in the solution comprising adding the specific ratio of sorbitan-ester-contained antirust lubricating oil into the specific organic solvent in drawing, rewinding and finishing process. CONSTITUTION:The organic solvent 7 added with 1% or more and less than 50% of the antirust lubricating oil containing sorbitan ester is poured into a vessel 6 in which guider rollers 4 and a nozzle 5 are disposed. A wire 2 is passed in this. The organic solvent having OH group and two or more and less than 6 carbon atoms in its constitutional formula is used. At the outlet of the vessel 6, hot wind is blown to the wire to let the antirust lubricating oil percorate and deposit in and on the wire surface sufficiently and blow off the excessively deposited portions. As a result of this, the antirust lubricating oil deposite evenly on the wire surface and at the same time the solvent 7 dissolves therein the adsorbed moisture component on the wire surface and carries the same together and therefore the antirust effect is considerably improved. The pickup amount of the antirust lubricating oil may be controlled readily by the flow of hot wind.
