Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid irregularity of a varnish adhering amount to a substrate material by keeping a viscosity of the varnish uniformly in an impregnation tank.
CONSTITUTION: The varnish impregnation tank 1 is partitioned into a varnish supply chamber 7 and a varnish impregnation chamber 8 by a weir 6 and most of the varnish 3 is supplied to the varnish supply chamber 8. Further, the varnish impregnation chamber 8 is constituted so as to flow the varnish 3 outwardly therefrom and, thereby, the varnish 3 is forcedly flowed over the weir 6 from the varnish supply chamber 7 to the varnish impregnation chamber 8 and, by this flowing, a viscosity of the varnish 3 can be equalized to a certain extent. Further, a dip roll 4 for introducing the substrate material into the varnish in the varnish impregnation tank is provided and a varnish replenishing means are provided above said dip roll 4. Thereby, as described above, the irregularity of the varnish adhering amount to the substrate material can be eliminated.
