Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the efficient recovery of the floating oils on water by disposing an outside covering body into or from which water can go to the outside circumference or the underside of a rotary vane which is held rotatable in water and gathering and stagnating the floating oil in the artificial vortexes formed by the revolution of the rotary vane at the recovering of the oils floating on water.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of recovering the oil 2 on water surface 1, an outside covering body 9 into or from which water can go is disposed to the outside circumference of the rotary vane 3 which is revolved by the revolving shaft 4 of a rotation- driving device 5. When the rotary vane 3 is next revolved, artifitial vortexes 14 are formed and the oil 2 floating on the water subsequently flows into the artificial vortexes in such a manner as to be attracted to their inner side along the hyperbolic wall surface formed on the inner side. Thence, this influent oil becomes a rotator owing to the force vortex flows generated in the lower part of the artificial vortexes, thereby forming a stagnating oil layer 2. Next, an oil sucking means 11 is dipped in the oil stagnating layer 2 and the oil is sucked by an oil sucker 12, after which the oil is recovered from an oil discharge means 13 into a storage tank.
