Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the local increase in the moving bed density caused by the dust in exhaust gas and ashed matter of carbonaceous particles by revolving the carbonaceous particle discharge roll installed to the lower part of the countercurrent type moving bed reactor intermittently at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:The SO2-contg. exhaust gas is supplied with the air from a line 15 and steam from a line 16 and is supplied into the reactor. While the exhaust gas is ascending in moving beds 3, the SO2 in the gas is reduced to vapor-form sulfur and the sulfur-contg. gas is exhausted from an outlet pipe 5. Coal particles are supplied from a supply valve 7 and are taken out from a discharge valve 14 through a carbon particle discharge roll 13. When the moving bed 3 density locally increases, the temperature in the beds 3 rises and the temperature rise is supplied as signal to a control circuit 10 via thermocouple 4, converter 8 and indicating recorder 9. The circuit which has received signal generates the command signal for revolving the roll 13 at a high speed in a commander 19. This signal is transmitted through a speed changer 11 to a control motor 12, so that the revolutions of the roll 13 are made higher.
