Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a carrier capable of inhibiting an increase of toner charges, when blended with an electrically nonconductive toner, by covering carrier particles with a covering material contg. electrically (semi)conductive fine particles and fluoridated hydrocarbon resin.
CONSTITUTION: Electrically (semi)conductive fine particles of carbon black, titanum oxide or the like and an emulsion of fluoridated hydrocarbon resin are mixed to form a covering liq. After mixing this liq. with carrier particles such as iron bead carrier, the solid component is collected, dried, calcined, pulverized, and classified to obtain a covered carrier.
