Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable measurement operation to be automatically accomplished with a simple apparatus by disposing a number of sensing portions at an equal spacing toward the flow delivery direction within the main unit of a measuring instrument and connecting each sensing portion to a rough estimator on the outside of the unit.
CONSTITUTION: A mortar pressure delivery pipe 2 of a suitable diameter is connected to the discharge port 1' of a mortar pump 1. A number of sensing portions 3 are provided in parallel at a fixed spacing on the straight line in the flow delivery direction near the pump discharge port 1' of the pressure delivery pipe 2. The respective sensing portions 3 are connected to a rough estimator 4 and recorder 5 on the outside of the unit. Thereupon, the pulsations generated at the discharging of the mortar M flowing in the pressure delivery pipe 2 from the discharge port 1' of the pump 1 are sensed in the sensing portions 3 which parallel in the axial direction. From the flow time, patterns, etc. of these pulsations, the velocities and rates of flow are roughly estimated and these are displayed and recorded.
