Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower the voltage of bath and to prolong the life of diaphragm, by forming the dispersion layer of anode active substance on the anode side of the diaphragm in electrolytic bath and connecting the above dispersion layer with the anode current collector. CONSTITUTION:The diaphragm 2, such as asbestos, etc., is attached on the anode opposite face of the wire net cathode 1 arranged in electrolytic bath. The dispersion layer 3 of the anode active substance, such as MnOx-PdO group, etc., is formed on the anode side of the diaphragm 2. The anode current collector 4, such as Ti, etc., is closely stock on the surface of the layer 3 and current is supplied by conductor. By the above form, distance between electrodes is able to keep at minium. Also, voltage rise between the electrodes is avoided because generated gas on the anode is quickly drawn out from the hole 7 of the collector 4. Moreover, collapse of the diaphragm 2 by the gas and liquid flow at the time of electrolysis, is prevented because the diaphragm 2 is pressure-welded between the cathode 1 and the collector 4.
