Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a treating solution from entering into a container interior and uniformly coat said treating solution on an external surface of a glass by spraying a surface treating solution to an external surface of a glass container on a moving mesh belt from the underside thereof to an upward direction.
CONSTITUTION: In case of coating a surface treating solution to an external surface of a glass container sent from a slow cooling furnace 2 in a condition wherein said glass container, after formed in a bottle making machine 1, is arranged in an upright position on a continuously moving mesh belt 4, a treating solution is upwardly sprayed from a nozzle of a spray apparatus 9 of a surface treating solution provided to an underside of said mesh belt 4 to uniformly coat said external surface of a glass container 3. At the same time, a surface treating solution present in an upper portion of said glass container 3 in a sprayed condition is forcibly sucked by a forced exhaust apparatus 15 having a hood 13 and a duct 14 to prevent said surface treating solution from entering into a container 3.
