Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect the quality control readily, by extracting the frequency of the nonfeeding (waste cocoon) and effective end feeding from the fineness signal continuously obtained in the reeling of a cocoon, and by classifying, calculating and indicating it for each cocoon layer.
CONSTITUTION: The fineness signal obtained by the fineness measuring instrument VI is input to the low-pas filter circuit I, and noises are removed. The signals are smoothed and differentiated by the signal conversion circuit II to extract the effective end feeding signals a,b and c and the nonfeeding signals d and e. The signal voltage Vo from the circuit II is compared with the comparison voltages V1Wv6 set for the outer, middle and inner layers of a cocoon by the comparison circuit III, and the signal difference is output from the comparators 9W14 and input to the counting discriminator circuit IV. The signals showing the effective end feeding and nonfeeding from the cocoon layers are output from each of the "AND" gate circuits 26W31, counted and indicated on the respective counters 32W37 of the display circuit V.
