Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a tire by preparing coating rubber for organic fibrous cords of a tire such that a predetermined amount of carbon black is mixed with a blended rubber which contains a predetermined amount of a polybutadiene of a predetermined microcrystalline structure mixed therein.
CONSTITUTION: Coating rubber for organic fibrous cords of a tire is prepared by mixing 30W60pts.wt. of carbon black with 100pts.wt. of a blended rubber which contains a polybutadiene and either natural rubber or synthetic isobutadiene rubber at the rate by weight of 1:9W1:1. The polybutadiene contains principally a polymer of cis-1,4-polybutadiene and syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene. The polymer contains 6W20wt% of a microcrystalline syn-1,2-structure, and 40wt% thereof is crystalline. The polymer is further in short filaments having the average diameter of 0.05W 1μm and the average length of 0.8W10μm. The composition of the coating rubber can thus improve the durability of a tire.
