Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively remove the contamination components by a method wherein a specific treating agent is selected and specifications are made on the order of adding the treating agent and pH of liquid at which addition is made, in clarification treatment of waste water which contains surfactant, oil and fluorine.
CONSTITUTION: A mineral acid is added to waste water which contains surfactant, oil and fluorine to make its pH to 3W6, which is added with active carbon, cationic high molecular coagulant and aluminum salt, then its pH is made to 6W8 by alkali, and the formed precipitate is removed to obtain clarified water. To the obtained water, a mineral acid is added to give pH 3W5, salts of aluminum and calcium are added, then alkali is added to give pH 6W8, the formed precipitate is removed to provide cleaned treatment water. Thus, the process enables to achieve the desired purpose, and because the amount of generated sludge is small, it drastically reduces the cost required for concentration, drying, and disposal in the process.
