Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent wrong operation and enable only one display unit to selectively perform accurate time indication, by stopping the indication and giving warning when dispaly information inputs simultaneously appear on a plurality of input terminals. CONSTITUTION:When different kinds of time display information simultaneously appear by mistake on two or more of input terminals S1-S3, the output of a NOR circuit 4 is inverted to a low level through AND gates 1-3 connected to two of the input terminals S1-S2 and the output of an FF6 is inverted to a high level. As a result, output from a decoder 12 to a display buffer 11 is inhibited and display is lighted off. At the same time, a counter 7 is put out of a reset state by the FF6 to perform counting for a prescribed time, NAND circuits 8, 9 are put out of a latched state by a borrow signal and the FF6 is reset. For the prescribed time, the lighting- off of the display is continued and wrong operation is warned of. After that, the display is performed again. According to this constitution, the wrong operation is prevented and various kinds of accurate time indication can be selectively effected by only one display unit.
