Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a printer head of compact size and long life easy to handle at a low cost which permits printing without ink ribon by means of a groove or a slit provided on the ink feeder and the wire. CONSTITUTION:Ink in the ink storage section provided on the frame 6 permeates into an ink feed section 2, for example, a porous material such as sponge rubber by the capillarity so that the ink is always fed to the groove or slit 3a provided on the wire 3 contacting the ink feed section 2. Ink in the groove provided on the wire 3 reaches the tip of the wire 3 by the capillarity. As soon as the wire 3 projecting through the wire guide 1 returns to the original position following one printing action, the ink permeated into the ink feed section 2 is fed again to the groove or the slit 3a. With the repetition of the afore-mentioned action, the tip of the wire 3 is always kept wet with ink 4.
