Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a magnetic paint containing a phosphoric acid ester and an amine, and giving a magnetic tape having high coercive force, max. magnetic flux density and squareness ratio and excellent gloss.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic paint containing (A) a phosphoric acid ester such as alkyl phosphate [e.g. Phoslex-A-8 (product of Sakai Chemical KK)] and (B) an amine obtained by the reaction of pref. oleic acid with a diamine compound of formula (R is alkyl).
EFFECT: Suitable for the mass-production of magnetic tape at low cost. Resistant to gelation.
