Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure an operation not affected by the variation in the voltage of a supply power source by adding an arc circuit for controlling stably the arc oscillating frequency and an arc compensation circuit for controlling the arc timing of an output arc signal for the variation of the power source voltage.
CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor ignition device has an LC resonant circuit having a charging and discharging capacitor 16 and the primary winding 8 of a step-up transformer 7, and the anode 36 and cathode 37 of an SCR35 as a semiconductor switching element are connected to the lead wires 29, 30, respectively introduced from the connecting point. Spark electrodes 12, 13 are connected to the secondary winding 9 of the transformer 7. In this case, an arc circuit 19 including a PUT element 20 for controlling the arc of the SCR35 is connected across the capacitor 16. An arc timing compensating circuit 25 including a series circuit of a capacitor 27 connecting across a capacitor 22 of the circuit 19 and a Zener diode 28 is additionally equipped.
