Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Granular solid alkali being composed of 25W95wt% slaked lime and calcium carbonate or further a bonding material, such as alumina, etc. is filled into a packed column, and water to be disposed is let pass. Phosphoric acid ions, arsenic acid ions and heavy metal ions, such as chromium ions, lead ions, etc. contained in the water to be disposed are reacted with calcium ions and hydroxyl ions in the packed column or liquated after passing through the packed column, and a precipitate is formed. The water to be disposed is forwarded to a filter tower into which a filer medium is filled, and the precipitate formed is caught and recovered.
