Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce clogging, to enhance working factor, and to increase separation ratio of magnetic material in a magnetic filter to remove magnetic material from liquid by a method wherein block type ferromagnetic material is filled in liquid inlet and outlet sections in a container filled with ferromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic filter consists of yoke 6, exciter coil 1, and container 2 having filter element 3 of ferromagnetic fine wire, and is used to remove magnetic material from liquid coming through inlet pipe 4. In this container 2, block type filler of ferromagnetic material 10 is filled between the element 3 and liquid inlet section and between the element 3 and liquid outlet section. The invention effectively prevents the filter element 3 from being blocked, provides a uniform liquid flow and thereby enhances adsorption efficiency for iron powder, etc. and working factor of the magnetic filter.
