Abstract
PURPOSE:For improving the efficiency of capturing a large amount of solids, to make capturing at a uniform rate while said fine solid particles flow from inlet to outlet, with the sharp rise of differential pressure avoided at the filter section of high gradient magnetism filters. CONSTITUTION:A tubular filter housing 1 is provided with a lower inlet 2 and an upper outlet 3 and filled with magnetic filter mediums 4 and 5 at different filling rates. The filling rate of said magnetic filter medium 4 on inlet 2 side is smaller than that of said magnetic filter medium 5 on outlet 3 side. Said housing 1 is placed inside a doughnut type electromagnet 6 and fitted with differential pressure gauges at said inlet 2 and outlet 3. When this filter system is set in operation with magnetic field generated by supplying power to said electromagnet 6 and with the waste liquid containing fine solid particles supplied to said housing from a filter 2, the magnetic suspensoid contained in flowing waste water is adsorbed efficiently separated and adsorbed by said high gradient magnetism filter mediums 4 and 5 to flow out through said outlet 3.
