Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the effect of ghost, by executing the synchronous detection with phase shift of pi/2 of carrier for synchronous detection picked up from the input modulation signal and phase-shifting the carrier for synchronous detection so that the output can be minimized. CONSTITUTION:The carrier for synchronous detection is picked up from the modulation signal f(t) with the limiter 4 and it is fed to the variable phase shifter 5. After synchronous detection of f(t) with one of the outputs of the variable phase shifter 5, the output is picked up via the LPF6. After another output is phase-shifted by pi/2, f(t) is in synchronous detection. This output is impulsive waveform. This impulsive waveform is integrated and averaged, and the variable phase shifter 5 is controlled so that the integrated output can be decreased. With this control, the phase of carrier for detection is always in agreement with that of carrier of input modulation signal.
