Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a resonance frequency and to enable a high speed printing by a method wherein a recess formed in the yoke is contacted with a resilient member and a spring having a relatively high stiffness due to an increased volume of magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION:Recess 12a1 is formed at a retracting end 12a of a yoke member 12, the yoke member 12 is abutted against and arranged at the permanent magnet 13. When no electric current is flowed in the coil 11, the spring 15 is retracted against a retracting end 12a of the yoke 12. As shown in Fig. (A), in addition to the magnetic flux 12b substantially perpendicular to the retracting surface, there are magnetic fluxs 12c flowing at both ends of the spring 15. When an electric current is applied to the coil 11 to release the retracting force, the condition shown in Fig. (B) is made, and the spring 15 is moved up to the free end of the spring to perform a printing operation. When the electric current in the coil 11 is turned off, the recess 12a1 in the yoke 12 starts to retract the spring 15. In this case, the retracting force applied to the spring 15 under an existence of the magnetic flux 12c may effectively and relatively act upon the spring which is positioned far from the yoke and at the same time the retracting force may be increased more.
