Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high sensitive bistable electromagnetic device with poles which needs only a small coil exciting current and having latching function.
CONSTITUTION: At both side of the frame 1 of a coil 10, permanent magnets 6a, 6b are mounted so that their polarities face reversibly. Movable armatures 8a, 8b are mounted to both ends 7a, 7b of iron core passing through the frame 1. Both armarture ends are made to face the ends of permanent magnets 6a, 6b. Exciting current of coil 10 acts to reduce magnetic flux at release side and to magnetize to the same polarity so as to cause repulsion. At the same time, it increases magnetic flux at bonded-closed side to cause the armatures 8a, 8b supported by the ends 7a, 7b of the core to make rotation. The device is highly sensitive to work by small coil current and maintains holding state after excitation is removed, thus providing bistable latching function.
