Abstract

PURPOSE: An enzyme-redox compound combination, useful as a reusable reagent for colorimetric analysis or an enzyme electrode, and comprising an enzyme belonging to an oxido-reductase bonded covalently to a redox compound acting as an electron transport agent.
CONSTITUTION: At least one oxide-reductase, e.g. glucose oxidase or L-amino acid oxidase, is bonded to at least one redox compound (coloring matter), e.g. Thionine or Toluylene Blue, acting as an electron transport agent, with a bifunctional crosslinking agent, e.g. glutaraldehyde or dimethyl adipimidate.
