Abstract
PURPOSE: To oxidize waste water biochemically and efficiently by a method wherein lace-shaped contact materials in many fine fibers are stretched to an oxidizing chamber and a dispersing chamber of a waste water treating tank, air is blown in from the bottom of the dispersing chamber and the waste water is circulated.
CONSTITUTION: Contact material frames 13 formed by stretching lace-shaped contact materials, in which many loopy fine fibers are projected around strings, to frames are inserted in parallel to an oxidizing chamber 5 and a dispersing chamber 6 of a treating tank. When waste water 16 is poured into the oxidizing chamber 5 from an inflow pipe while air 17 is blown in from the bottom of the dispersing chamber 6, the waste water 16 rises along the surfaces of the contact material frames 13 in the dispersing chamber 6, flows into the oxidizing chamber 5, falls along the contact material frames 13, and circulates to the dispersing chamber 6 from a lower end 12 of a partition wall 7. Thus, the waste water 16 contacts with the contact materials 15 with the air 17 and is agitated, a coefficient of summary oxygen migration and the concentration of dissolving oxygen are improved, and the waste water is efficiently purified.
