Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the elution of alkali and alkaline earth metal salt, heavy metal, etc. in the solidifying treatment of dust by a method wherein the moisture content of the dust is adjusted, and compressed and molded, and moldings are coated with asphalt.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W5wt% water is added to dust, and the dust is supplied to a molding device 3 having two press rolls 2, which are mutually circumscribed, and compressed and molded. Moldings obtained are coated with asphalt in such a manner that they are steeped in a steeping layer 4 of the asphalt and extracted. The setting of water to the said coefficient of addition eliminates defects which the temperature of the asphalt drops due to the heat of evaporation of water and its viscosity lowers and the dust is not solidified with the crystals of salts, and the strong solidified bodies of the dust, alkali and alkaline earth metal salt thereof liquate out extremely little at low molding pressure, can be obtained.
