Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus having stable and accurate characteristics for fuel injection, by disposing a pressure control valve and an electromagnetic fuel injection valve adjacently with each other and in a unitary manner, in the mechanism that they are communicated with each other in a fuel sump, while opening and closing a fuel injection orifice are performed by a valve element that is driven by said electromagnetic valve.
CONSTITUTION: Pressure control valve 9 and electromagnetic fuel injection valve 3 are disposed adjacently with each other and in a unitary manner, in the manner that they are communicated with each other in fuel sump 74, and a fuel injection orifice 23 fitted in a valve seat constituting a portion of fuel sump 74 is opened and closed by a valve element 80 driven by said electromagnetic valve 3. Such a unit of injector 3 and pressure control valve 9 is disposed, for instance, at an upper portion of intake pipe 2 downstreams of primary intake passage 4a but upstreams of the point where the intake pipe 2 is branched to a plurality of cylinders of an automobile. With such an arrangement, fuel supplied from fuel pipe 35 is stabilized and removed of bubbles by pressure control valve 9, and orifice 23 is opened by attracting a ball like armature 50 with supply of current to coil 48, and thereby shifting another ball like valve element 80.
