Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise cooling effect by providing an armature having odd or even slots with vacant solts at every 180 degrees or 120 degrees in well balanced condition. CONSTITUTION:An iron core 3 which penetrates a shaft at the center is provided with 12 pieces of slots 4. And vacant slots 6, 7 having no windings 5 are arranged at an angle of 180 degrees to the center of the shaft 2. In case of odd slots, the vacant slots are provided at every 120 degrees. A commutator 12 is provided at one end of the shaft 2 and a fan 11 is fixed at the other end. With an armature 1 rotated, wind pressure will be generated by the fan 11, the wind pressure makes a space section 17 which is set apart from the armature 1 negative pressure and it works to raise the wind pressure at the side of an exhaust hole than that in a space section 16. A part of the flow of induced wind is exhausted through the fan 11 after pasing the vacant slots 6, 7 of the armature 1 from the space section 17. In this way, the heat on the armature 1 is radiated from the vacant slots 6, 7, so cooling effect will be raised.
